Russian

Idris has, like many children of his and this age, been very accustomed to the YouTube. That is not surprising to me. Seeing how YouTube allows us a minute or ten of peaceful self reflection at home.. Nevertheless, we have actively been interested in his choice of YouTube that he is watching.

However, YouTube being YouTube those recommendation links will inadvertently lead you away from your intended purpose of the visit. But surprisingly Idris has taken a keen interest in Russian tubes. There is this Masha and the bear, which, honestly sounds better in Russian than in English.

Anyway I hope me and wifey does take this into the extreme where YouTube becomes a substitution instead of a complementation.

Good Mood
Somebody was in a good mood this afternoon. All smiley and all that. Apart from throwing tantrums the whole morning today and yesterday, I guess sleep and food were was he needed.

Somebody came and sat down with me.

Usually, this little bundle of energy would be running about and making so much noise this early in the morning. Today however, he is different. Today, he took the time to sit down with me at the breakfast table. He sat down and we had a sort of chit chat. Sort of, he in his own language and me, in my own. I think we did get our points across, even though there is none.

We sat for about half an hour, a decent time for breakfast I would think. He then went about taking a shower and I think in about half an hour, we should be making our way to sheng siong for groceries.

Maybe most babies are like this. But definitely not Adam when he was Idris's age. I took this picture of him admiring himself in the mirror. He had a cap on him and I think he thinks that he looks very fine...

His presents.

He received a bicycle from mummy and uncle sham, a book from tante and Momo, a basketball post from wan and from us dinosaurs figurines and finger paints. Hope he likes it.

Idris turns 2.

Happy birthday!

Idris turned 2 on the 7th January this year. We went to 1 Market in Plaza Singapore. We were also there to celebrate his grandmother's birthday which was on the same day. It was a lovely occasion. Idris enjoyed himself so much that he did not stop putting things in his mouth for a long time.

A day less than 2.

This is a picture of him. Taken yesterday. This is him when he is one day less than 2 years old. He is 2 today and I will take pictures of him, lots of pictures to remember this day.

He is learning to talk now and he picks up new words so fast. A rapid learner I must say.

Spent some time.

Spent some time with idris today. Today, after fixing up the chairs I spent some time with him at his drawing table. He is asleep now. Will be lunching with him soon.
